The Chandler Street Department is continuing snow removal and clearing the trees and limbs from our streets as a result of the recent winter storm. Our first priority is to open all streets and as of today, only Gardner west of Fuquay and Klein Road remain closed due to power lines in the fallen trees and we are dependent on other utilities for their removal. Looking ahead to the clean-up, we plan to begin Monday January 13 and will follow the Leaf Pick-up Schedule for two weeks, January 13-24.

Monday- South of Lincoln Av.

Tuesday- Northwest area, north of Lincoln and west of Iowa

Wednesday- Central area, north of Lincoln and between Iowa and State

Thursday- Northeast area, north of Lincoln and east of State

The Town of Chandler can only pick up tree/limbs cut to a maximum of 6 feet and no greater than 8 inches in diameter. Trees/limbs are to be stacked neatly by the roadside but not in the street and away from any landscape or yard ornaments that could be damaged from machinery used to pick up the debris. Larger trees or limbs will be the responsibility of the homeowner.
