Kiwanis Pancake Day & Town-Wide Yard Sale

Tomorrow is the Chandler Kiwanis Pancake Day at the Chandler Community Center. Come eat and get your map to the Town-Wide Yard Sale. The breakfast will be held from 6-10:30 a.m. Tickets for the meal are $5.50 for adults and $2 for children ages 12 and younger.

In addition to the event, recent tornadoes throughout the Midwest have had an impact on local residents. To help the victims of these disasters, the Red Cross Bus will be on site for a blood drive. Warrick County Awareness will be at the Community Center, as well, to collect items for the victims of recent tornados. Some of the items that are being collected to help with disaster relief efforts include: leather gloves, shovels, rakes, thermoses, batteries, flashlights, coffee, coffee pots, First Aid kits, baby wipes, diapers, pull-ups, hand sanitizer and bottled hand soap, towels, wash cloths, cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, disposable gloves, heavy duty trash bags, pet food, plastic utensils, paper plates, plastic containers, blankets, bottled water, non-perishable foods, coloring books and crayons, children’s books, Sharpie markers, and plastic totes for transporting goods and storing victims’ recovered items.

Email the Chandler Kiwanis Club for more information about the events, or email Warrick County Awareness for more about donations and relief efforts.
