    Voter Registration deadline approaches

    Anyone who plans to vote in the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 8 has until Oct. 11 to register to vote.

    Indiana offers an online voter registration application, which can be used to apply to register to vote, or to make changes to your voter registration record, such as name or address changes.

    In order to be eligible to register to vote, you must:

    • Be a citizen of the United States;
    • Be at least 18 years old on the day of the next general, municipal, or special election;
    • Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the next general, municipal, or special election (except for certain military voters); and
    • Not currently be imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.

    In order to register online, you must also possess a current and valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana State Identification card. Online voter registration can be done by visiting the State Website.

    You can also register to vote by:

    • Completing a Voter Registration Application and mailing it to your county voter registration office (Warrick County Voter Registration Office for Chandler residents) or the Indiana Election Division;
    • Registering to vote in-person at the appropriate county voter registration office; or
    • Registering to vote in-person at the Indiana Election Division.

    If you are not sure if you are a registered voter, you can check your registration status by clicking here.
