Water Quality

Chandler’s water source is groundwater that is drawn from wells. Our Water Treatment Facility minimally processes the water so that it meets or exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards.

Some of the parameters of Chandler Water (measured in average) include:

  • pH: 7.4
  • Chlorine: 1.2 mg/L
  • Hardness: 17 grains/gallon
  • Fluoride: 0.3 mg/L
  • Iron: .01 mg/L
  • Manganese: .01 mg/L

We complete a variety of water quality testing on a regular basis throughout the water system. A full report of the testing is available in our annual Water Quality Report, known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), which comes out in late June. The most recent reports are available here:2024,2023, 2022, 2021, 2020201920182017201620152014.

To maintain fresh, quality water, Chandler Water flushes its system twice yearly as recommended by State and Federal agencies. Water main flushing is completed in the spring and fall; the process generally takes two weeks. Public notifications of flushing dates are published in the local newspapers, as well as posted locally and on our website. More information about flushing, its purpose, and how to avoid issues during the flushing process can be found on our FAQ page.
