The 2013 Chandler Volunteer Fire Department held its annual awards banquet Saturday evening, honoring six of its volunteers.

Service pins were awarded to: Brianna Beard, 5 years; Don Adams, 25 years; and Bil Musgrave, 40 years. Don Adams also received an Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association 25-year service pin.

Receiving special recognition from Chandler Volunteer Fire Department Chief Nick Granderson was Cadet Spencer Wester, who also recived the Cadet of the Year award. Most Improved Firefighter went to Scott Virgin. Jeremy Allen was named the Firefighter of the Year. Finally, Officer of the Year went to Chief Granderson.
